Space Foundation on list of best nonprofits to work for
The Colorado Springs-based Space Foundation has been named by The Nonprofit Times and Best Companies Group as among the Best Nonprofits to Work For 2011.
The Space Foundation ranks No. 19 out of 50 organizations honored nationwide. It was the only Colorado-based organization to make the list.
“The Space Foundation team is the heart of all that we do, and we’re proud of the professionalism and dedication of every one of our team members, Space Foundation CEO Elliot Pulham said in a news release. “We make workplace satisfaction a priority by promoting work-life balance and giving our people opportunity to grow with the organization.”
Founded in 1983, the Space Foundation employs around 50 people, mostly in the Springs. The foundation’s 27th National Space Symposium runs April 11-14 at The Broadmoor. The annual event is hailed as “the premier event for space professionals anywhere in the world.”
