Pirate Radio (R)

Philip Seymour Hoffman stars in this tale of the rebel disc jockeys who took to the high seas in the '60s. The rogue DJs broadcasted live from a boat in the middle of the North Atlantic, played rock records and broke the law all for the love of music.  The songs they played united and defined an entire generation and drove the British government crazy.

As the ship sails on and rocks out, what  the freewheeling, free-loving Radio Rock gang doesn't know is that back in London, British officials have embarked on a vehement crusade to silence their signal – permanently. To stay afloat and keep their devoted audience plugged in, the crew will have to band together and trust in the power of music like never before.
