SUNRISE EDITION: Sun won't bring warmth

THE GAZETTE

Don’t let the glaring sun in a cloudless sky fool you into thinking it’s a perfect day to play outside. Blustery winds and an icy chill will make a convincing case to stay indoors.

The National Weather Service predicted a high of 30 today with wind gusts of up to 30 mph in Colorado Springs. Tonight, the low is expected to hover around 13 with a wind chill between zero and 10.

Wednesday will bring a slight chance of snow.

HAPPENINGS

- Air Force Academy Band’s chamber recital series featuring members of the Air Force Academy Brass section and Joseph Galema, organ, 7:30 p.m., Air Force Academy Chapel, free.
