    Airmen help out in El Salvador

    THE GAZETTE

    Ten airmen returned to Peterson Air Force Base last week after providing medical care in El Salvador during a humanitarian training exercise, base offcials said.

       The airmen formed a medical team that left June 21 for the city of San Miguel. The base said the 10 helped give medial care to more than 7,000 people during the deployment to the poverty-stricken area. Their work supported a larger exercise by U.S. Southern Command, the base said.
