THE GAZETTE
Half a dozen employees at an east Colorado Springs Taco Bell were rounded up by armed robbers while the store’s manager was forced to fork over cash, according to police.
Two masked men with handguns walked into the Taco Bell at Powers and Palmer Park Boulevards about 8:46 p.m. Thursday, according to the Colorado Springs police blotter. One took six employees into an office while the other forced the manager to collect cash and other items. The pair fled into a neighborhood near the business, the blotter said.
Police officers with dogs recovered some money from a field they allege was stolen and dropped by the men, but the men were not found.

Harrison school district closer to pay for performance for teachers
Should teacher pay be based on performance?
Yes. Teachers should be rewarded for good work, and poor performers should be weeded out.
No. Pay for performance is just a back-door way of blaming teachers for other problems in the education system.
It depends on what "performance" means. It's good if there's a fair measurement of performance.
Undecided.
