A man who walked away from a work-release corrections program in 2007 was arrested June 2, after police say he was involved in more than 100 burglaries.

Police were able to return $10,624 worth of stolen property and closed 21 burglary cases after they arrested Bobby Berry. They believe he is responsible for more than 100 burglaries.

Berry was a member of the ComCor program before he left it in 2007. ComCor is a work-release program that allows low-risk convicts to work while serving their sentences. Berry has been on the run from authorities since he left the program.

According to police, Berry was caught after police realized that a pawned laptop had been stolen in a burglary. Upon more investigation, they found out that Berry had also pawned 45 items since Jan. 1.

He was arrested when he tried to pawn another item.

Police believe that Berry is responsible for more than 100 burglaries - one of which he pointed a gun at a victim's head and ordered him around from room to room of his home.

Berry was arrested on several counts of suspicion of burglary, theft, false information to pawn brokers and one count of second-degree kidnapping. His girlfriend. Jennifer Trimble, was arrested on suspicion of three counts of burglary and two counts of theft.
