Manitou Springs Police Blotter 11-18

Nov. 7
• At 9:30 p.m., officers responded to the 700 block of Manitou Avenue in response to a male party yelling and screaming at pedestrians and vehicles. The man was cited for disorderly conduct and transported to El Paso County Detox.

Nov. 8

• At 1:23 a.m., officers were dispatched to a bar in the 900 block of Manitou Avenue on a report of a disturbance involving a knife. One male party was taken into custody and charged with third degree assault.  

Nov. 9
• At 4:30 p.m., officers responded to the Rainbow Falls area on a report of criminal mischief. One subject was cited for criminal mischief, illegal possession/consumption and transported to the El Paso County jail for unrelated warrants.  

Nov. 10
• At 7:09 p.m., officers responded to the 100 block of Elk Path on a report of a disturbance. One male subject there had an active warrant for his arrest and he was transported to the county jail.

Nov. 11
• Officers investigated damage to a vehicle that occurred between 7:30 p.m. Nov. 10 and 7:15 a.m. Nov. 11 while the vehicle was parked in the 300 block of Manitou Avenue. The vehicle had two separate windows broken out, but the investigation revealed nothing was missing from the vehicle. No arrests were made.

Nov. 12
• Officers conducted an inventory of all found property bicycles taken in by the department. All bicycles held more than 90 days, per department public policy, were checked through National Crime Information Center/Colorado Crime Information Center, confirmed to be clear and donated to charity.

Nov. 13

• An officer took a code complaint in the 600 block of Manitou Avenue for an accumulation of trash and old couches. The owner of the property was contacted and agreed to have the trash hauled off.
• An officer took a report of a theft which occurred sometime between Oct. 25 and Oct. 30 in the 100 block of Via Linda Vista. Several items were stolen from the porch of the victim. No arrests were made.
• At approximately 12:15 p.m., officers responded to the 1000 block of Manitou Avenue in reference to a male party urinating in public. The party was contacted and found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The party was cited for possession and indecent exposure and transported to detox.
• Officers responded to the 900 block of Manitou Avenue on a report of a disturbance. While officers attempted to investigate the incident, a male party attempted to remove the suspect from the scene. The party was taken into custody, cited for obstructing a peace officer and released.

Nov. 14

• An officer responded to the 000 block of Ute Trail on the report of a vehicle break-in. No arrests were made.

Nov. 15

• At 9:47 a.m., an officer responded to the 300 block of Ruxton Avenue to investigate a vehicle break-in that occurred between 4:30 p.m. Nov. 13 and 3 p.m. Nov. 14. The vehicle’s window had been broken and several items taken. While investigating the incident, the officer discovered the neighbor’s car had been broken into as well. No arrests were made.
