The actual winner here was the World Arena's Elton John concert, but voting was closed before John took the stage. Brulé's Pikes Peak Center show was the most popular concert readers had time to attend. The band adds a Native American rhythmic and musical flair to Christmas songs.

GAZETTE PICK: ABIGAIL WASHBURN
& THE SPARROW QUARTET
Washburn, a Colorado College alum, returned to her alma mater with boyfriend/banjo god Béla Fleck in tow and, along with fiddler Casey Driessen and cellist Ben Sollee, played a raucous blend of bluegrass, traditional old-timey music and Chinese folk tunes that blew the roof off Armstrong Hall. We hear this may have been the quartet's final show together.
