A Denver man in custody in Larimer County in connection to sexual assault cases there has also been accused of using the Internet to lure young teen girls from the Pikes Peak region into performing sexual acts with him, Colorado Springs police said Tuesday.

Police arrested Matthew Bynum, 24, Saturday on suspicion of sexual exploitation of children, sexual assault on a child, Internet sexual exploitation of a child and Internet luring of a child.

The investigation began in September 2007 when Bynum was arrested in Larimer County on suspicion of sexually assaulting two girls, according to an arrest affidavit. Sheriff's deputies discovered sexually explicit e-mails and obtained Bynum's cell phone records, which led them to other young teens Bynum had contact with, the affidavit said.

The court papers detail at least two encounters with 14-year-old girls who met Bynum online through vampirefreaks.com. The teens told authorities that Bynum exchanged sexually explicit e-mails with them and requested nude photographs, the affidavit said.

The girls told investigators that Bynum sent them photographs of himself nude, and of his scantily clad girlfriend and suggested to at least one victim that he wanted to have sex in a threesome, the affidavit said.

Police said they collected 37 pictures of one victim from Bynum's computer and eight images of another victim.

Harrison school district closer to pay for performance for teachers
Should teacher pay be based on performance?
Yes. Teachers should be rewarded for good work, and poor performers should be weeded out.
No. Pay for performance is just a back-door way of blaming teachers for other problems in the education system.
It depends on what "performance" means. It's good if there's a fair measurement of performance.
Undecided.
