Free screenings for skin, head and neck cancers coming up

Get a free cancer screening and learn more about breast cancer at the following events:

• Free community skin cancer screening: 8-11:30 a.m. May 7 at Peak Vista Community Health Centers, 225 S. Union Blvd. Appointments recommended by calling 444-2273.

• Free oral, head and neck cancer screening, 4-6 p.m. May 12 at Penrose Cancer Center,
2222 N. Nevada Ave. Appointments recommended by calling 776-5610.

• Free free breast and cervical exams for women ages 40-64, if qualified; ongoing program. Call 1-866-951-9355 to see if you qualify and for more information.

• Free “Taking Care of Your Girls” mother-daughter tea and fashion show, with lunch, to provide information about breast cancer. 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Hillside Community Center. Reservations required by calling 471-4429
