End dinner fuss by boosting chair, not child
Comments 0 | Recommend 0TO OUR READERS: Editor’s note: You know you want it. But do you know where to get it? This column aims to help. Watch this space weekly for information on all things timely, trendy, useful or unusual.
Is your little person struggling to see at the dinner table but refuses to sit on a booster seat?
Try lifting a little farther below the baby.
KABOOST, an X-shape fixture, attaches to the bottom of most four-legged chairs and is designed to lift furniture by two heights — 3.75 or 4.5 inches — so it can adapt as your child grows. The spring-loaded ends pull over round or square chair legs and become a semipermanent attachment to the furniture. Meaning: You can move the chair without it falling off, but you don’t have to commit to the booster for a lifetime. To remove, simply pull out the ends and pull the chair up.
The booster also folds down, making it an easy pack for a dinner out. It fits chairs with diagonal leg distances between 19.5 and 30 inches and comes in three colors: lime green, natural or chocolate.
KABOOST is made of hard plastic and rubber (to avoid scratching floors) and supports up to 300 pounds. The booster is recommended for children between 20 months and 6 years old.
The product is not available at any Colorado retailers, but company officials expect to have it in local stores soon. Meanwhile, you can order it online for $39.99 from kaboost.com or by calling 1-800-573-4392.
