DA drops sex assault charge against Palmer Lake man

Prosecutors have dismissed a charge against a Palmer Lake man who had been accused of sexually assaulting a girl under the age of 18.
The charge against Kim Makower was dropped about two weeks ago. Police had arrested Makower on June 18, 2009, after he walked into the police station to ask why his home was being searched.
Fourth Judicial Deputy District Attorney Sharon Flaherty said Friday that she could not discuss the reasons why the charge was dismissed.
