Man arrested after chase in Colorado Springs

A man was arrested Tuesday night after police say he led them on a car chase and foot pursuit and briefly holed up in an apartment complex in north-central Colorado Springs.

Police had Lemoral Anderson, 26, under surveillance before the chase. He was wanted on 10 felony and misdemeanor warrants, including a probation violation by a violent felon, said Sgt. Jim Meyers.

After ditching his vehicle, Anderson ran into the Newport Square Apartments on Rebecca Lane near Academy Boulevard and Carefree Circle.

He was arrested after a 45 minute standoff, Meyers said.
