Church brings back sounds of the season
First Presbyterian Church will present its 12th annual “Christmas Joy” concert at 2:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. Dec. 13 at the Pikes Peak Center, 190 S. Cascade Ave.
The musical production features Christmas carols and sacred music performed by Christian singers backed by a 17-piece band. Also performing is the 150-member First Presbyterian Sanctuary Choir.
Tickets are $12, $15 or $20, depending on seating, and can be purchased by calling 1-866- 464-2626 or going to www.pikespeakcenter.com.

Lecture aims to involve Catholics in social justice
A free lecture on how Catholics can become more involved in social justice will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Church, 2021 W. Pikes Peak Ave.
The lecture, “Call to Family, Community and Participation: Why We Should Be Concerned About the Legislative Process,” features speaker Jennifer Kraska, executive director of the Colorado Catholic Conference.
