City seeks volunteer for tax oversight panel

THE GAZETTE

The City of Colorado Springs is seeking a volunteer for the Public Safety Sales Tax Oversight Committee. The committee provides oversight of the 0.4-cent tax that voters approved in November 2001. This tax is to be spent only on public safety personnel, capital projects, equipment and services. Members of the committee generally meet once a month and report to City Council. No experience is necessary other than an interest in local affairs and public safety. Send letters of interest and resumes by Friday to City Council, Attention Marti Devine, P.O.
