Car crash injures Palmer Lake's police chief

THE GAZETTE

Palmer Lake Police Chief Gene Ferrin suffered apparently minor injuries in a traffic crash early today while he was driving to work, the Monument Police Department said.

The crash happened about 5:50 a.m. at the intersection of Beacon Lite Road and Colorado Highway 105, said Monument Officer Kieth Moreland.

James Hull, 23, was stopped at a stop sign on Beacon Lite and went through without ensuring the way was clear when the cars collided, Moreland said.

Ferrin went on to work after the crash, but he said from the police station he'll seek treatment for a bump on his head and a sore neck. A Monument police statement said he was taken to a local hospital.

Ferrin said he was driving a police vehicle when the crash happened. Damage from the crash likely made both vehicles a total loss, he said.

Police cited Hull for failure to yield resulting in a traffic accident. He wasn't injured, police said.

What's your view?
Good for him. If God has called Haggard to return to ministry, he should obey.
Haggard should stay out of the ministry. He has too much baggage to lead a church.
I don't care what Haggard does, and I'm sick of hearing about him in the news.
Haggard and anyone crazy enough to attend his church deserve each other.
