ITT Exelis awarded $160M contract

THE GAZETTE

ITT Exelis has been awarded a $160 million contract by the Army Contracting Command in Arizona to continue providing information technology support and services to the Army's European command and joint commands for Africa and Europe.

ITT has held the contract for 20 years; the latest award is for six months with four, one-year renewal options.

Under the contract, the company's Mission Systems division, based in Colorado Springs, will continue providing operations, maintenance and logistics support for a variety of Department of Defense networks in Europe, including the Global Information Grid, the Defense Red Switch Network (used for secure voice and conference calls), air traffic control and systems management and maintenance of Armed Forces Television.
