Education is costing more than ever
Are you wondering why our local school districts are having problems making ends meet? Some have to cut as much as $7 million from their budget.

But there is some other info from the Bureau of Labor Statistics that show how all this has become the perfect budget storm.
The American Institute for Economic Resa4ch took the government statistics to calculate that education costs have more than doubled from 1990 to 2009.
Here are some of the price changes:
-College tuition and fees, up 274.7 percent; elementary and high school tuition and fees, up 251.3 percent; gasoline,(school buses) up 165.4 percent.
There is some good news. Audio equipment is down 47.4 percent, computers, down 89.8 percent.
