For smooth results, use crystal nail file
TO OUR READERS: You know you want it. But do you know where to get it? This column aims to help. Watch this space weekly for information on all things timely, trendy, useful or unusual.
As soon as a friend brandished a collection of crystal nail files in my face, I knew I had to get my own.
These spiffy nail files are made of crystal and have a special surface that gives nails a remarkably flawless, ultrasmooth edge.
They are especially good for short, fragile and damaged nails. They help prevent chipping and splitting, and they’re designed to last a lifetime. They can be sanitized simply by washing in hot soapy water. Use them on natural or artificial nails.
Get Burton Spa Crystal Files online at crystalfiles.com, where you can find several sizes on sale through October: mini (3½ inches long) for $7.99 (normally $12.99), which are nice for travel; regular (5½ inches long) for $9.99 (normally $14.99); and large (8 inches long) for $12.99 (normally $15.99), which are good for toenails. Nail Tek brand crystal files are available at Body and Face, 105 E. Willamette Ave., where you can get the same sizes for $8.95, $14 and $18, respectively.
