Republican delegates headed to Minnesota

HEADING TO MINNESOTA

Republicans selected 46 delegates and 43 alternates for the Sept. 1-4 Republican National Convention in Minneapolis. One of the alternates is a Ron Paul supporter; the rest of the crew is backing John McCain. Here is a look at those with connections to El Paso and Teller counties:

• Personhood Amendment author Kristi Burton of Peyton 
• State Rep. Kent Lambert of Colorado Springs 
• State Sen. Tom Wiens, who represents Teller County and northern El Paso County 
• El Paso County Commissioner Wayne Williams


STATEWIDE ALTERNATE 
• Realtor John "Jack" Gloriod of Colorado Springs


5TH CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT DELEGATES 
• El Paso County Clerk Bob Balink 
• Former state Sen. Ken Chlouber, who represented northern El Paso County 
• Attorney General John Suthers of Colorado Springs
