A hundred bottles of dog beer on the wall, a hundred bottles of beer ...

Yes, now you can party with your dog. There's a new product called 3 Busy Dogs' Bowser Beer - and let us say right now before you freak out, it is not alcoholic and it won't hurt Fido.

The drink comes in six-packs of 12-ounce bottles that look like beer bottles. The drink is not made from hops, carbonation or alcohol, which can be dangerous for your pooch. Instead it is made of human-grade ingredients including barley, beef extract and a bit of glucosamine, which is good for a pet's joints.

Jenny Brown, company owner, says she got the idea when she was making her Spoiled Rotten Dog Treats, which are peanut butter pretzel nuggets.

The six-pack retails for about $19.95 and the pretzels from $3 to $4. For more information, go to 3busydogs.com, or to order, call 1-703-850-9995. The beer is also available at pawshop.com.

For those who want their dog's house to be nicer than their own, there are now Mar Jennings Bow-Wow Dog Homes.

Jennings, a garden designer, wanted one for his miniature schnauzer, CorkyVon Schnorkenheimer.

There are four styles to suit your dog's taste - with molding, corbels, fluted columns, copper accents. They have an overhang to keep rain out, and are made of 100 percent wood to keep it cool or warm. They all have a cedar roof and a raised floor to keep the dog dry.

They are also portable and can be kept in your house, which you might want to do, considering the cost: They start at $2,499. Yes, $2,499. See teichgardensystems.com.

Book is the cat's meow

Book we like: "Why Don't Cats Go Bald?" by Skip Sullivan and David Fisher (The Lyons Press, $14.95). There are answers to such questions as how much vomit is too much, can a cat sneeze itself to death, do cats faint, why is my cat yellow, and a host of other fascinating tidbits you don't find in most cat-care books.

It also has little bits of humor and cat lore.

(The answers: If your cat has bouts of vomiting for more than 24 hours, take him to the vet. The sneezing isn't usually an emergency. Yes, cats faint-it's usually caused by gastro-intestinal irritation, vomiting and blood pooling in the GI system, leaving the brain short of oxygenated blood. And a cat with yellow-tinged skin - you can see it on the bare skin of the ears - could be jaundiced and dehydrated, so off to the animal hospital.)

Here are the top 10 cat emergencies: you're out of cream; you're out of Fancy Feast; you're out of catnip; it's been 20 minutes since you've been stroked; it's been 20 minutes since your litter box was cleaned; it's been 20 minutes since you've had fresh food; there's a dog in the house; there's still a dog in the house; your human won't sit still long enough for you to curl up in her lap; your human won't lie still enough for you to sleep on his head.
