The Newspaper in Education program provides newspapers to area schools for use in the classroom, promoting literacy and knowledge of current events.

Teachers for Kindergarten through college: NIE is available for classroom use either via the print edition of The Gazette or the electronic "green" online edition. Minimum NIE order is 5 copies per day of The Green Edition electronic version or minimum of 15 print copies per day. While it is not possible for one teacher to order both NIE print and electronic copies on the same day, you may mix your NIE selection to receive electronic on selected days and print on other days.

NIE partially-sponsored copies of the PRINT edition are available to educators at $0.10 per copy in The Gazette's current delivery area in El Paso and Teller counties. ELECTRONIC editions are provided to schools throughout Southern Colorado fully-sponsored, at no cost, thanks to business and subscriber donations.
