Unless otherwise noted, admission to the permanent collection and FAC Modern is $7.50 for adults, $6.75 for seniors, students and youths, 5-17; free for FAC members.
Admission to the traveling exhibit — which includes access to the permanent collection and FAC Modern — is $12 for adults, $10.50 for seniors, students, and youths, 5-17; $7.50 for adult members; $6.75 for seniors, students and youths 5-17 who are members. Children 4 and under are always free.
AUG. 2
Masterpiece Lecture:
The Artful Tommy: Thomas Hoving, America’s Culture Scamp, Reveals How He Zig-Zagged His Way Through the Art World. Hoving, former director of New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art, staged the 1970s King Tut exhibition, which revolutionized the idea of a museum blockbuster.
When:
7 p.m. lecture; 9 p.m. hors d’oeuvres reception and book signing; ticket-holders get a sneak peek of the new museum from 5-7 p.m.
Cost:
Lecture $49, $45 for FAC members; reception $34, $30 for FAC members; advance tickets required.

Masterpiece Screening:
John Waters’ film “Cecil B. Demented.” Indie film director John Waters (“Pink Flamingos,” “Hairspray“ and “Cry Baby”) screens his 2000 film.
When:
1-2:30 p.m. film screening; 2:30-3:30 p.m. Q&A; 3:30-4:30 p.m. book signing; ticket-holders get a sneak peak of the new museum from noon-1 p.m.
Cost:
$49; $45 for FAC members; advance tickets required.
Masterpiece Gala:
Thomas Hoving, John Waters and Joel Grey convene for cocktails, exhibition viewing and dinner.
When:
5:30 p.m. presentation honoring Kathy Loo and Buck Blessing; 6 p.m. gala

Official Grand Opening
When:
10 a.m. public ribboncutting ceremony; 10:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Bemis School of Art open studio tour and activities.

free; regular admission to enter galleries.

A Conversation with Joel Grey. The Academy Award-winning actor talks about performing in “Cabaret” and the Broadway musical “Wicked.”

Member Free Day & Family Activity Day

10 a.m.-2 p.m. Bemis School of Art activities; 1 p.m. lecture by Michael De Marsche, FAC president and chief executive officer.

free; tickets required for the lecture; free admission to galleries for members; regular admission for everyone else.
