Law firm covers taxi rides on Tuesday

THE GAZETTE

If too much green beer has your vision doublin' tonight, you can catch a free cab ride home, anywhere in Colorado Springs.

From 7 p.m. to 3 a.m., revelers need only call Yellow Cab at 777-7777 and mention McDivitt Law Firm, which co-sponsors the program.

The free ride will go only to the caller's home, not to other bars, and is available only within city limits. Drivers will try to accommodate every request, though the potential number of calls might make that impossible, the law firm said in a press release.

McDivitt and Yellow Cab have sponsored the program on traditional drinking holidays since New Year's Eve 2007, seeing hundreds home safely, the firm said.

Harrison school district closer to pay for performance for teachers
Should teacher pay be based on performance?
Yes. Teachers should be rewarded for good work, and poor performers should be weeded out.
No. Pay for performance is just a back-door way of blaming teachers for other problems in the education system.
It depends on what "performance" means. It's good if there's a fair measurement of performance.
Undecided.
