About the Cimarron Street bridge

THE GAZETTE

* The 48 concrete girders will become the main support for the bridge deck.

* For the east and west spans of the Cimarron bridge, each girder is 85 feet long and weighs 70,402 pounds, or about 35 tons.

* The center span girders are each 109 feet long and weigh 86,587 pounds — or about 43 tons.

* The 300-ton capacity crane installing these girders weighs 158,353 pounds — about 79 tons — and is currently the largest crane in Colorado.

* The same crane will be used to install the girders for the Austin Bluffs interchange at Union Boulevard in mid-March.

Harrison school district closer to pay for performance for teachers
Should teacher pay be based on performance?
Yes. Teachers should be rewarded for good work, and poor performers should be weeded out.
No. Pay for performance is just a back-door way of blaming teachers for other problems in the education system.
It depends on what "performance" means. It's good if there's a fair measurement of performance.
