This story has been updated to clarify that Glen Owen Godec is not an employee of Godec's Photo & Camera Supply Inc.

An arrest affidavit for Glen Owen Godec, a Colorado Springs photographer accused of sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl, reveals details of on-going abuse and exploitation.

Godec has been arrested on suspicion of one count of sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust, two counts of sexual exploitation of a child, and one count of obscenity.

He was arrested Dec. 6 and posted a $50,000 bond the same day.

Godec had frequent access to the girl, her younger sister, as well as other minors in his studio, according to the affidavit. Godec ran a photography business through Ebay, and rented a room from relatives in the same building as Godec's Photo & Camera Supply Inc. downtown. His Ebay business was not connected to the camera supply store and he was not an employee, said his cousin, Ron Godec, whose brother, Gary, owns the store.

The affidavit did not specify when Godec began molesting the girl, but the abuse was reported by the girl’s mother in August.

The mother called police when she found a vibrator hidden in her daughter’s room that the girl said Godec gave to her, according to the affidavit.

Godec allegedly showed the girl the porn website “X Hamster” and told her about an adult bookstore called “Pleasures.” The girl told investigators that Godec had her sit on his lap while he watched videos on “X Hamster.” He would touch her and use the vibrator on her as they watched the videos, she told police.

The girl was familiar with other porn websites Godec used and could find them by herself on the Internet, according to the police report.

Investigators found nude photos of the girl and another child stored on camera memory cards and on Godec’s computer. Some of the photos were taken in Godec’s studio, where he asked the girl to pull down her shirt and expose her chest, she told police.

Police also found 778 photos on an external hard drive that showed people believed to be under the age of 18 nude or partially nude, according to the affidavit.

As part of his business, Godec took photos of local dance troupes and middle school events. Godec was reached by phone on Monday, but declined to comment.

Over the years, Godec also faced possible charges of fraud, theft, and domestic violence. In 2004 he pleaded guilty to criminal impersonation and in 2005 he pleaded guilty to assault.
