Local photographer in court in molestation case

A Colorado Springs photographer accused of molesting an 11-year-old girl and taking sexually explicit photos of her and her younger sister waived his preliminary hearing on Wednesday in 4th Judicial District Court.

Glen Owen Godec, 46, faces nearly 40 criminal counts. His next appearance in court is scheduled for 9 a.m. March 14.

Godec photographed children in the Pikes Peak Region as part of a business he ran through Ebay, online records show.

Godec rented a room from relatives in the back of Godec's Photo & Camera Supply, Inc, although his Ebay business was not affiliated with the store and he was not an employee, according to his cousin, Ron Godec, whose brother, Gary, owns the store.

An arrest affidavit did not specify when the alleged molestation began, but the abuse was reported by the girl’s mother in August.
