• Be a Santa to a Senior program will provide presents to seniors who otherwise might not receive a gift this holiday season. • The Resource Exchange is collecting holiday gifts for people with development disabilities and their families throughout El Paso, Park and Teller counties. Warm clothes, grooming items, household items and more are needed. • Silver Key Senior Services is in need of frozen turkeys and hams to be used to complete about 1,000 food boxes for seniors and elderly people in Colorado Springs. Frozen turkeys should be 10 to 16 pounds, and frozen or canned hams should be 3 to 6 pounds. • The Monument Police Department and Tri-Lakes Monument Fire Department are collecting new, unwrapped toys for the third annual Tri-Lakes-area Santa on Patrol. Toys will be delivered Dec. 22. • The Salvation Angel Trees will be set up through Dec. 23 at The Citadel mall, 750 Citadel Drive E., and Chapel Hills Mall, 1710 Briargate Blvd. The trees will be decorated with paper angels, each representing a child in need of a helping hand this Christmas.
