Rep. Bradford's husband has massive heart attack

The husband of state Rep. Laura Bradford suffered a massive heart attack Sunday.

The Mesa County Republican told Charles Ashby of The Daily Sentinel in Grand Junction that her husband, Linton Mathews, underwent surgery and that she does not plan to be at the state Capitol this week.

Upset with how Republican leadership treated his wife after Denver police suspected her of drunken driving Jan. 25, Mathews changed his voter registration from Republican to unaffiliated Feb. 3.
