Comcast rolling out higher Internet speeds
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Comcast is rolling out higher Internet speeds over the next month in Colorado Springs, including a 50 megabit-per-second (Mbps) package. Many existing customers will see their browsing speed increase by the end of October as the cable company doubles its 6 mpbs “performance” package to 12 Mpbs and its 8 Mpbs “performance plus” to 16 Mpbs (the 1 mpbs “economy” package stays unchanged). There’s no additional charge for the speed bump.
Comcast is also adding two new tiers: a 22 Mpbs “ultra” package that also bumps upload speeds to 5 Mpbs for $62.95 a month, and a 50 Mpbs “Extreme 50” tier that comes with 10 Mpbs uploads for $99.95 a month.
