TV TALK: Convict Jennifer Reali tells why she killed
On warm night on September 12,1990, Jennifer Reali waited in the shadows for her lover’s wife to emerge from a Lupus support group meeting at the Otis Park Community Center, 731 Iowa Avenue. As Diane Hood left the building, Reali, disguised in camouflaged fatigues and ski mask, emerged from the darkness, demanded Hood’s purse and shot her with a .45 caliber handgun. Then she approached Hood and fired the fatal shot.
This was no robbery attempt.
Reali, who was convicted of murder and conspiracy to commit murder along with Hood’s husband, Brian, is featured on an upcoming episode of Investigation Discovery 4-part series “Facing Evil with Candice DeLong,” this week.
DeLong, a former F.B.I criminal profiler, sat face to face with Reali behind prison walls at the Women’s Prison in Canon City where she is serving a life sentence.
Reali talked with DeLong, rumored to be the real-life Clarice Starling, the Jodie Foster character in the movie, “Silence of the Lambs,” to confess the truth about why she committed the murder and tell her what she was really thinking, according to a news release.
Reali’s episode airs Friday, November 26, at 8 p.m. on Investigation Discovery.
