Man arrested for using stun gun on bar patron

THE GAZETTE

Nathan Landis, 23, was arrested early Saturday morning after he used a stun gun on a bar patron at Antique Billiards near the Citadel Mall, according to Colorado Springs police.

Police said Landis sees himself as an unofficial bouncer, and took issue with the man because he was wearing a hat backwards. Landis told the man multiple times to straighten his hat, and the man refused, eventually saying he would leave the bar. As he was leaving, police said, Landis pushed him, and the two began fighting. As the man was on the ground, Landis shocked him repeatedly with a stun gun.

Landis was arrested for illegal use of a stun gun, a felony that carries a penalty, if convicted, of up to three years in prison.
