DID YOU EVER WONDER? Readers ask about stores they miss
For the longest time we thought we'd never get an IKEA. I understand we will. Now how about some of the others from back home that we love, Trader Joe's and In-n-Out for example?
Jennifer E. and friends
• Sure enough, there will be a Colorado IKEA store north of Park Meadows Mall in Centennial. No date yet when it will be built.
Trader Joe's, another favorite, is spreading out from California to a number of areas across the country, but, for now, the closest ones are in Albuquerque and Santa Fe.
We're slated to get a Sunflower Farmers Market on Dublin Boulevard in 2009, the fifth one in Colorado.
No In-n-Out Burgers for us. They're in California, Nevada, Utah and Arizona. Drifters on Garden of the Gods Road is a good second choice.
A 1999 story in The Gazette asked readers which other businesses they couldn't live without. They got their wishes for:
Old Navy, Cost Plus World Market, DirectBuy and Costco.
They're still longing for:
Luby's Cafeteria, none in Colorado; Nordstrom department stores, in Denver, Broomfield and Littleton and Nordstrom Racks in Broomfield and Littleton; Sweet Tomatoes, Park Meadows and Aurora are closest.

Rock Canyon High School?
Where in the world is Rock Canyon? I checked all over our area and couldn't find it.
JJ, high school football fan
• It's a new high school in Highlands Ranch outside of Denver.
We learned from The Gazette's prep sports editor Joe Paisley that the Jaguars are in the 4A Pikes Peak League, playing teams in our area including Sand Creek, Coronado, Widefield, Mitchell, Pueblo West, Pine Creek, Fountain-Fort Carson and Woodland Park.
