• Management Services Network has opened a medical billing office in Colorado Springs. The office will provide revenue cycle management services for physician practice clients in Denver, San Diego and throughout the western United States. Debbie Harmon, western regional vice president for MSN, will head the operations of the new office, in addition to managing MSN’s claims processing center in Cottonwood, Ariz. Victoria Powell, billing manager, will oversee day-to-day operations at the office, 2790 N. Academy Blvd.
EDUCATION
• Stephen Elder, Colorado College vice president for advancement, has been elected to the Council for Advancement and Support of Education Board of Trustees. Elder was appointed as a trustee-at-large and will serve a three-year term.

• Peaceful Points Acupuncture has moved to a larger location at 5265 N. Academy Blvd., No. 1400.
• Beds-N-More, a value-priced furniture and mattress store, has opened at 3179 N. Academy Blvd. Beds-N-More previously was in a warehouse at 3125 N. El Paso St. and, before that, at 204 E. Mount View Lane.

• StealthCom Solutions Inc. is included on the Inc. 500 list of “Fastest Growing Companies in America.” Only 15 Colorado-based companies are on the list, and StealthCom Solutions, at No. 387, is the only Colorado Springs company to garner a spot on the list. StealthCom provides commercial and federal agencies with consulting and installation services for network cabling infrastructures.
• Sue Laabs, a wealth-management-services professional with 29 years of experience, has joined Ent Federal Credit Union and Investment Trust Co. as a vice president and senior trust officer. Laabs has a bachelor’s degree from State University College of New York at Buffalo and has a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor designation. Ent is associated with Investment Trust Co. to provide investment management and trust services.
• Donna Perry, of Colorado Springs, recently joined thousands of entrepreneurs at the 2010 Shaklee Global Conference in Anaheim, Calif., where she was honored with a Star Achievers Award. Shaklee is a direct-sales natural nutrition company.
• The Bellandi Group, a full-service Colorado Springs marketing firm, announced that Thomas McClintock, of NSI Partners, has become chief operating officer for Bellandi. In his new role, McClintock will manage the day-to-day operations, deliverables and production goals for the company while deepening its partnership with NSI.
• URS Corp., one of Colorado’s largest architecture, engineering and construction services firms with offices in Glenwood Springs, Colorado Springs and Denver, has named Mike Schmidt as federal business line leader for its Denver office.
• CodeBaby announced the addition of Robert Gaffney as chief financial officer. Recently, Gaffney worked as CFO of Intelliden. A Charter Financial Analyst, Gaffney holds a bachelor of business sciences degree in accounting from the University of Colorado and holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Chicago.
• Garden of the Gods Club recently welcomed Zachary Ladwig as its new sous chef. Ladwig previously worked as the sous chef at Bouley in New York. Garden of the Gods Club also welcomed Lacey Lockhart as its new spa manager. She previously was the spa director at Chavon Salon & Spa in Colorado Springs and is a Colorado native.
• JE Dunn Construction was among guests, faculty, staff and students celebrating the recent rededication of the renovated science building, now known as Centennial Hall, at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. JE Dunn led the 70,000-square-foot renovation project that will be home to chemistry, biochemistry, anthropology and geography classes, labs and faculty. The renovation included replacement of the roof, new HVAC and electrical services, window upgrades, masonry repairs and landscaping.
• Kimberly Zirbel of Colorado Springs, a Modern Woodmen of America representative, has completed a five-day educational program at Modern Woodmen’s home office in Rock Island, Ill. The program focused on helping families with Modern Woodmen life insurance plans, annuities and fraternal member benefits.
