HEALTH CARE
• Peak Vista Community Health Centers announced the association of Lisa R. Ramey, D.O., and Aimee Lyn Phipps, P.A., who will support Peak Vista’s Medical Student Program and Family Health Center at Myron Stratton Home, respectively. Ramey received her medical degree from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University and has a special focus in pediatrics. Phipps received her master’s in physician assistant studies from Harding University in Arkansas.
• John B. Kurish, D.O. , was elected president of the Colorado Springs Osteopathic Foundation at its annual board of directors meeting. In addition, he was elected to the Board of Trustees of the Colorado Society of Osteopathic Medicine recently at their annual meeting.
• Moyra Hower is the new southern Colorado director of March of Dimes. March of Dimes is a nonprofit organization with the mission to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality.
• Medical Voyce announced that Scott Casey has been named chief operating officer of MedicalVoyce.com. Casey will direct operations for the Colorado-based health care website. The site is a free, dual-sided portal for health care providers and the public.

• Sierra Commercial Real Estate announced the promotion of Mark G. O’Donnell Jr. to director. O’Donnell joined Sierra Commercial Real Estate in 2006, concentrating his brokerage efforts on office properties.
• Ent Federal Credit Union announced that Laura Figgie, a registered representative affiliated with broker-dealer and registered investment adviser CUSO Financial Services, was a recent recipient of CFS’ 2009 Bronze Pacesetter Award at an annual conference held in San Diego. Figgie was credited with generating significant revenue while providing high-quality financial and retirement-planning services to Ent members.
• Integrity Mortgage & Financial Inc., a local mortgage company, has been granted approval to be a direct-lending agency by the Federal Housing Administration. www.integritymtg.com.
• Colorado Springs-based BiggsKofford PC announced it is the first CPA firm in Colorado to have been accepted into the Colorado Environmental Leadership Program as a bronze-status member. The Environmental Leadership Program is a statewide environmental recognition and reward program administered by the state Department of Public Health and Environment.
• Kirk Morton has been named the interim president and CEO of Catholic Charities of Colorado Springs. Morton has held a number of executive assignments with manufacturing companies across the U.S. and has served on the Catholic Charities board of directors since September 2007.
• The Professional Photographers of Colorado honored Chris Waldron of Waldrons Photography with the group’s Lifetime Achievement Award during an annual awards banquet held at the Crowne Plaza in Denver. The National Award was also presented to Waldron.
• Stockman Kast Ryan + Co., a locally owned certified public accounting firm in Southern Colorado, announced the promotion of Ellen Fisher to senior audit manager.
• Judy Ververs, a local Realtor and broker associate at ERA Shields Real Estate, has been awarded the Seniors Real Estate Specialist designation by the Seniors Real Estate Specialist Council of the National Association of Realtors. Out of 1.1 million members of the association, Ververs joins 16,000 real estate professionals in North America who have earned the SRES designation. All were required to successfully complete a comprehensive course in understanding the needs, considerations and goals of real estate buyers and sellers 55 and older.
• Bruce Kelly is president of AdvantEdge Drywall, which provides a complete service package for drywall and acoustical ceilings. Kelly has more than 20 years of experience.
