New health office focuses on diabetes

Penrose-St. Francis Health Services has recruited an endocrinologist whose new Colorado Springs office will specialize in one-stop treatment for diabetics.

Dr. Michael S. Koren's practice, Advanced Care in Endocrinology & Diabetes, includes a team of dietitians, diabetes educators and foot-care health providers. He begins seeing patients on Monday.

Koren also specializes in other hormonal and metabolic conditions that include:

• Metabolic syndrome

• Diabetes

• Hyperlipidemia
