Police say the crash happened about 1:50 a.m. when Alex Eichmeier, 21, was racing another car and ran through a red light at the intersection of Interquest and Voyager parkways. Eichmeier, who was driving a Ford Mustang, slammed his car into an Acura Legend driven by Moirah Goulette, 22.
Both drivers had to be extracted from their vehicles and they were taken to a hospital. Police believe that alcohol and speed were factors in the crash.
The crash has partially closed Interquest Parkway, so expect delays in the area.
