Thirteen El Paso County firefighters and volunteer communications specialists were called Tuesday night to help fight the fire, according to Lt. Lari Sevene, El Paso County sheriff’s spokeswoman.

Seven firefighters were sent, with an El Paso wildland fire truck and a communications vehicle.

Three volunteers with a communications unit were dispatched, as well as a fourth volunteer to help with base camp. A civilian was sent to help with the emergency operations center, along with an El Paso’s assistant deputy fire marshal. Seventeen from the Colorado Springs Fire Department were sent earlier this week.
