By the time someone is handcuffed and sitting in a police car, it would seem their chance to flee had passed.

But that didn’t stop Antonio Montoya from trying. The adult man, whose age was not available, was arrested about 1:30 a.m. today on suspicion of domestic violence at the Galley Apartments north of The Citadel mall, according to a police report. While sitting in the marked police cruiser, he became combative and broke out a passenger-side window.

Police regained control of him — and added damage to city property to his list of offenses.
