Man robs pharmacy

THE GAZETTE

A man stole powerful painkillers from the Walgreens pharmacy on Saturday.

The man stole five bottles of hydromorphone and supposedly fled in a vehicle, according to police radio traffic.

The man said he had a gun when he demanded the narcotics, police said. There were no injuries at the store at 5755 Constitution Ave., and there have been no arrests.

The same store had medicine stolen in a robbery Jan. 20, and police said that robber claimed to have a gun, but none was seen.
