Wasson MESA team wins design competition
The Wasson High School MESA team took top honors Saturday at 16th annual design competition at Colorado State University-Pueblo.
Along with taking first-place team, other awards were: first place in the Key Punch, Danny DeVinney, Mario Collazo, and Yang Liu; first place in the Say It, Do It, Mark Clagett and Derek Linan; first place in the Mouse Trap Catapult, Fadi Albchara, Yossf Albshara, Laud Williams; first place in the Mouse Trap Car, Mario Collazo, Yang Liu, Desiree Valdez; fourth place in the Popsicle Bridge, Travis Muller, Danny DeVinney, and Daniel Schemmel.
MESA, which stands for Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement, is a national organization designed to provide math and science support to diverse groups of students to help prepare them for college.
