Police identify pair arrested in attempted robbery; third suspect at large

Colorado Springs police released the names of two men arrested in an attempted robbery Tuesday at the Loaf 'N Jug at 2505 S. Chelton Road.

Rio Davis, 23, and Michael Goller, 24, are each being held in the El Paso County jail on $100,000 bond.

The pair are suspected in a string of nine robberies or attempted robberies of convenience stores in southeast Colorado Springs since Friday. Police have not said if any of the robberies are connected.

Police are still searching for a third suspect in the Loaf 'N Jug incident.

The robbery was thwarted when store manager Patrick Jeter closed the store two hours early at 10 p.m. because of the rash of robberies. The armed robbers weren't able to get into the locked store and a police dog aided in the capture of Davis and Goller.
