Third man arrested in Pueblo kidnapping, slaying
A third man in connection with the Jan. 9 kidnapping and killing of Jeremy Naranjo, according to a news release from Colorado Springs police.
Gustave Dreyer, 38, of Pueblo was arrested late Tuesday in Pueblo on suspicion of first-degree murder, said Sgt. Ken Espinoza of the Pueblo Police Department. Two other men, Xavier Rubalcaba-Lopez, 26, and Alfredo Velazquez, 44, were taken into custody earlier on suspicion of first-degree murder.
The fourth suspect, 20-year-old Miguel Angel Hernandez Moran is being sought as an accessory to first-degree murder, police said. He has no permanent address, police said, but frequents places in Colorado Springs and Pueblo.
Naranjo's body was found on the side of the road in a Colorado Springs neighborhood earlier this month.
Investigators determined that Naranjo had been kidnapped at gunpoint in Pueblo and forced into a car. Police said Friday that Naranjo was killed in Colorado Springs, but they haven't determined why his attackers picked the Rim Ridge Court location to dispose of his body.
The homicide is believed to be drug-related, because one of the suspects and Naranjo allegedly had exchanged narcotics in the past, police said.
