Colorado Springs and U.S. Postal Service inspectors investigating a burglary and identity-theft ring suspected in at least 250 break-ins raided a Colorado Springs home Thursday morning and arrested a man.

Joshua Dickerson, 27, was arrested on an outstanding warrant and was being held at the El Paso County Criminal Justice. Police did not say what the warrant on Dickerson involved. Four others were questioned, and more arrests are expected, police said.

Police said the thieves specialized in car burglaries, breaking into vehicles parked at trailheads in Colorado Springs and in motel parking lots in the south metro Denver area, Colorado Springs and Pueblo.

The thieves would break into parked vehicles and take financial documents that would be used to make purchases online, police reported.

The purchases were then shipped to drop points throughout Colorado Springs and later collected by the thieves, police said.
