Man with handgun robs east-side 7-Eleven

A man with a handgun robbed an east Colorado Springs gas station early Monday, police said.
At 1:42 a.m., police responded to the 7-Eleven at 3805 E. Pikes Peak Ave., at the corner of Pikes Peak and Academy Boulevard.
The robber threatened a clerk with the gun, then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money, police said.
Police searched the area but have not made an arrest. No one was injured.
