THE GAZETTE

A man said he was shot in the foot in a drive-by shooting Thursday near Patty Jewett Golf Course in north central Colorado Springs.

Police responded to several calls of a drive-by shooting about 5:40 p.m. Thursday at 1805 Eagle View Drive. When they arrived, police said they found 30-year-old Corey Mitchell with a wound in the foot.

Police said they found several bullets lodged in the walls of the Eagle View apartment complex west of where Mitchell was shot. A vehicle wasn't found, but Mitchell described it to police as a dark-colored sport utility vehicle.

Harrison school district closer to pay for performance for teachers
Should teacher pay be based on performance?
Yes. Teachers should be rewarded for good work, and poor performers should be weeded out.
No. Pay for performance is just a back-door way of blaming teachers for other problems in the education system.
It depends on what "performance" means. It's good if there's a fair measurement of performance.
Undecided.
