Fountain police seized drugs and weapons Wednesday while raiding the home of a man accused of mailing videotaped death threats to friends, coworkers and relatives.

John Kossuth, 45, was arrested on suspicion of felony menacing. Other charges may be pending after the search at 420 E. Iowa St., said Fountain Police Sgt. Jess Freeman.

Police pictures showed a large collection of guns and knives, including an illegal sawed-off shotgun. About 56 grams of methamphetamine, worth about $5,600, was also seized.

The videotapes were mailed within the past year to at least three people, Freeman said.
