Father arrested over month-old daughter's fractured skull

A 25-year-old man was arrested Monday on suspicion of hitting his 4-week-old daughter so hard she suffered a fractured skull and bruising on her head, police said.

Christopher Dodson, of Bonfoy Avenue, is being held in the El Paso County jail on suspicion of child abuse, a class four felony, police said.

Police were summoned to Memorial Hospital Monday evening about 5:50 p.m. after the child was brought in for treatment, police said. Her condition was not released, but police said she was "stable."
