Police make arrest in alleged downtown sexual assault

Colorado Springs police arrested a 48-year-old man this morning after they say he sexually assaulted a woman near downtown. About 3:45 a.m. today, police recieved a call about a woman screaming near Boulder Crescent Street.

When officers searched the area, they saw a man running away who fit the woman’s description of her attacker. Police arrested Archie Nelson on suspicion of sexual assault and kidnapping.
