THE GAZETTE

A fight between two neighbors near downtown Colorado Springs ended when one of them was stabbed Sunday morning.

Colorado Springs police said the fight happened about 3:30 a.m. in the 600 block of Maple Street. When officers arrived, the victim told police he had been cut on his right arm and left hand. He told police that his neighbor, Kenton Dean Lloyd, 41, was responsible. The victim was taken to a hospital for his injuries; police didn't say what hospital. Police said they found Lloyd hiding nearby carrying a pocketknife. Lloyd was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault, police said. Police did not say what the fight was about.

Harrison school district closer to pay for performance for teachers
Should teacher pay be based on performance?
Yes. Teachers should be rewarded for good work, and poor performers should be weeded out.
No. Pay for performance is just a back-door way of blaming teachers for other problems in the education system.
It depends on what "performance" means. It's good if there's a fair measurement of performance.
Undecided.
